| The Kirsty McGee Hobopop Trio CANCELLED
Kirsty McGee’s songs show a depth and sensitivity, coupled with a dark, wry sense of humour that have earned her two BBC folk award nominations. Her musical style is hard to describe, at times combining traditional American music and instruments with a 1920s style sense of cabaret, at others displaying a delicate sensitivity and human insight that has earned her a reputation as one of the acoustic scene’s most exciting and diverse artists.
Her new live album entitled No. 5, due for release in early 2010 was recorded live in one take, in front of an audience at a show which included members of Guillemots, The Brute Chorus and the Richard Hawley band.
This concert from Kirsty’s Hobopop Trio will feature songs from her critically acclaimed back catalogue as well as performances of brand new material.
